Bonnie Byrne, LCSW

Families and children facing challenges with loss, transitions, behavior and social development.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist.  In my work I have discovered the resiliency of the human heart whether with children, adults, or couples.  My initial focus is often on what has been lost because loss comes in so many forms—a move from one city to another, or one school to another, divorce, death, loss of security, identity and home.  I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can share their fears and uncertainty with a compassionate witness with the goal of finding peace.  I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, as well as being an advocate for 12-step programs.  In addition to my private practice, I work as a Social Worker in the Texas Medical Center providing support and care to children and their families facing difficult physical and emotional challenges.  I am also an Adjunct Professor at the University Of Houston Graduate College Of Social Work, and I am licensed to supervise LCSW candidates.
